Abstract
The elucidation of innovative instructional techniques in
educational settings impacts students’ learning styles,
enhances engagement through personalized learning
strategies, and advances academic achievement in
English language. The study explored innovative
instructional strategies as predictors of academic
achievement in English language. Our study adapted a
predictive correlational research design. The sample size is made up of 857 secondary school students in Anambra
State. Our findings showed that in the unique
contribution, technology devices, brainstorming, and
inquiry-based learning positively contributed to the
predicting model. Also, the analysis of variance
revealed that the regression equation was significant (3,
853) = 6.006, p < .05. This implies that at least one of
the independent variables significantly predicted
students’ digital learning readiness scores. Based on
these findings, it was recommended that students should
utilize technolgy devices, brainstorming, and inquiry-
based teaching and learning strategies in the learning of
English language in the classroom so as to increase
interest and achievement in the English language
proficiency.
